Here are a few helpful tricks to use when organising your time (sourced from the POAA flyer).

  • Keep filing systems simple with only four or five main categories that make sense to you.
  • Do 'it' NOW. Don't procrastinate.
  • Change whatever doesn't work for you.
  • Use only one diary or calendar to record all your appointments - private or professional.

Setting up systems in your home or office is devised with time-saving in mind. As such, finding ways to save time should be as important as having a tidy space.

If you have kids, you know that fetching and carrying from school and events is time-consuming. Everyone feels the same as you so consider starting a lift-club with people you know in your area. Share the burden!
